Here is what some of the players and their parents are saying about Coach Beez...
"The video was a big help to me because on it Matt pointed out what I was doing right as well as what I was doing wrong. Since my team coaches don't always have time to help me personally, it's great to have someone working with me on the techniques that I need to improve my game."
Annie
"Though she may not readily admit it, our daughter was amazed at how her game looked on a video tape compared to how she saw it in her own mind. With Matt pointing out strengths along with things to improve on in "real time", Annie could readily see how things she worked on in her training sessions applied to a game situation. It was like having a coach sitting on the sideline during and focusing just on her as the game goes along. Most important is the approach Matt takes in reinforcing the positive things Annie was doing; and where there was criticism, it was 1) made in a most positive way; and 2) accompanied with what should be done differently and the "why" it's important to do it that way; and 3) related to something that's been covered in her training sessions, when relevant. “
“ If it's not already obvious, I would highly recommend Matt's video editing for anyone looking for the best training tool available to help a player improve in a game situation. “

Matt,
The Video you did for Michael is great. I have recorded many games
for him. He would watch them once and that's about it. Your video is
so much better. In your video, he see's what he did and then you show
him through your commentary and graphics what he should have done and
were he should have been. You also show him what he did right so he
can continue improving. At the end of the video you list the 5 points
that are a great reinforcement of what he needs to work
on. So far, he has watched the video 2 or 3 times. I can't wait for
his next game so I can send you another tape.
This is a great idea. I will be telling anyone I can about it.
Thanks,
Andy P.
Matt is my son's private coach. I am happy, no, delighted, to give
him an unqualified recommendation. Matt:
1. played the game at a very high level (NCAA Division I and European
professional league),
2. has a deep understanding of how the game works,
3. knows how to translate that into what skills players need to
master, to improve their individual games,
4. has excellent communications skills with both parents and kids,
5. knows how to conduct practice sessions that build skills and are
simultaneously fun for the kids, and
6. has great perspective and personal values; puts basketball in its
proper place in life, i.e., not the be-all and end-all.
Finally, one aspect of Matt's teaching that has been particularly
effective with Mitchell has been the use of videotape. I tape
Mitchell during a game, and submit that tape to Matt for editing. He
turns the tape into a DVD, complete with his voice-over commentary on
Mitchell's performance. It has been extremely useful and motivating
for Mitchell to see for himself what he does right and wrong during
game situations.

Hello Matt,
Last night was our opportunity to watch the video. It was surprising for Susie to see some of her movements on screen, broken down like this, for the very first time- an eye opener in some regards.. You did a great job and were right on the money Matt. Many kids are visual learners,"seeing is believing". We appreciate all of the time and effort you put into this on behalf of Susie. We know this will be a valuable tool for her.
Thanks again
