Coach Beez grew up in the Orange County area and is no stranger to the game. Since the age of 9, Coach Beez has worked on honing his skills. With over 35 years experience, he is now ready t share his passion and knowledge of the game with your son or daughter.

Coach Beez was a CIF Player-of-the-Year and a McDonald’s High School All-American selection out of powerhouse Mater Dei in Santa Ana. He played Division-1 basketball at both Notre Dame and CAL, and also had a successful 10 year professional career in Europe.

Coach Beez knows how important it is to find a coach that knows what he's doing:

I was very fortunate to have good coaching early on in my youth. Good coaching is invaluable when you're first starting out. Today, there are a lot of 'coaches' out there that claim to know what they are doing. Some do and some don't. A good way to tell if a particular coach is right for you is to:

1. CHECK THE COACH’S BACKGROUND
   • Where did the coach play during his basketball career
   • How far did he go (if he only played high school basketball, that might be a red flag)
2. CAN THAT COACH ACTUALLY SHOOT A BASKETBALL HIMSELF
   • Can the coach himself shoot a basketball?
     This sounds almost crazy, but just because a person claims to be a great shooting coach, the top shooting coach, or the best shooting instructor in Orange County, DOES NOT mean that that coach can shoot a basketball him or her self. (Don’t be afraid to ask your coach to show you how they shoot a basketball. This should go along way in determining if a coach is right for you.)

Shooting instruction is best performed in a private basketball training session. Private basketball training allows me to really focus 100% on the player's shooting technique. In private, one-on-one basketball training, unlike group training, all my attention is given to that one player."

To be a successful shooter, you have to shoot a lot. But it's not enough to shoot hundreds of shots per day. Why? Well, if you're using the wrong mechanics, then it's actually a detriment to your success, and possibly making it harder for you to be successful. When you train, you need to train hard, you need to train smart, and you need to train consistently.

Shooting is THE most important fundamental of the game of basketball. If you can shoot the basketball, it opens up a whole range of things you can do on the court offensively.
