My name is Matt Beeuwsaert and I coach youth basketball in Orange County, California. I have been involved in basketball my entire life, and with young players for about 5 years now, all different ages. I played high school basketball at Mater Dei in Santa Ana, CA, where I was selected as a McDonald's, Parade and Scholastic All-American. I played collegiately at both Notre Dame and CAL, and then finished with a ten year professional career in Europe. When I retired from basketball, I decided to use my other love for cartooning to write and illustrate a basketball comic strip book for kids.

The book is entitled " I GOT GAME " and is a hilarious collection of comic strips focusing on its main character Zac Ryan: a goggle-eyed, wristband-wearin', trash-talkin', cocky little kid who's got the " gear " but definitely not the " game "!
